Rykaart’s at Longridge Wine Estate is a family owned restaurant run by Alex and Ella Rykaart. Situated at the foot of the Helderberg mountains, overlooking breathtaking views of the False Bay Peninsula and Table Mountain, Rykaart’s offers a set three course family style dining experience inspired by the beautiful produce from this biodynamic farm.

Wholesome food and exceptional service have always been close to Alex and Ella Rykaart’s hearts. Having both worked in some of the top restaurants and hospitality establishments in the Cape Winelands, the Rykaart’s took the leap and opened their own restaurant in the heart of their hometown, Stellenbosch, in 2021. The couple enjoyed much success and the awarding of a star at the Eat Out restaurant awards in their maiden year. When the opportunity for growth and the option to introduce a new concept arose, the Rykaart’s, plus baby Lara, made the decision to move to Longridge Wine Estate.

Join us for a feast that reminds you of the daily home-cooked meal served around the family dining room table. It is informal and fun and offers a variety of delicious dishes throughout the meal.

At Rykaart’s we prepare a set three course menu served ‘family-style’ for the table to share. Our menu changes seasonally and is prepared using sustainable ingredients from Longridge Wine Estate and the surrounding farms.

Most dietary requirements can be accommodated for if arranged with us when booking.

THINGS TO KNOW

– Dietary Requirements –

We can accommodate most dietary requirements if arranged with us when booking. We will unfortunately not be able to accommodate any requests on the day. Please note that salt, pepper, onions and garlic are often used in our kitchen and cannot be excluded.

– Booking for Children –

We will have a simple kids friendly meal and dessert available for children under 12 years old. Please let us know how many children are in you party when booking.

– Our Pet Policy –

Pets are unfortunately not allowed on Longridge Wine Estate.

– Opening Hours –

Rykaart’s at Longridge Wine Estate serves lunch Wednesday through Sunday and dinner on Friday and Saturday evening’s. Lunch reservations can be made between 12:00 and 14:00 as the kitchen closes at 15:00. Dinner reservations can be made between 18:00 and 19:30 as the kitchen closes at 20:30.

Please note on days where dinner is not served the restaurant closes at 17:30. On evenings when dinner is served the restaurant closes at 22:30.

– Corkage Policy –

Rykaart’s is based on Longridge Wine Estate who produce a wide selection of beautiful wines. As we offer all of these wines on our wine list we have ‘no corkage’ policy at our restaurant.
